Save-the-Date & Birthday's

My sister kept the gender of her baby a surprise, but she had a nickname for 'her' already, Sweetpea.  I decided to pick two gender-nuetral colors for the invitation.

For my son's 7th birthday he chose to have a swim party (for the 4th yr in a row). I didn't post the finished product because the picture I used wasn't what I wanted, but this gives a general idea of what was created.

This picture is two Save-the-Date's I've done so far...the top is a what I used for my wedding - small magnetic card that is used to post on the fridge to "save the date". The bottom was what I created for my friend's 'spanish-themed' wedding...we used a variety of bold colors and the font I thought was cute because it was a taco bell look :)

My brother and I have just a couple days between our birthday so for that year he hosted a Vegas party at his house.  The theme included guests dressing up as their favorite movie star or tv personality and we had a live band with some vegas games ongoing.

These are two invites from last year that I made for my kids...LEFT - my daughter turned 2 and since at that age they really don't know what's going on, other than lots of people showing up showing her lots love, I made a simple party for her.  Instead of a cake we had lots of cupcakes with a cupcake pinata as she dressed in a tutu.  So the invite I kept along with the cupcake theme.  RIGHT - my son's birthday falls right around halloween so he has always had his parties include halloween decor or activities.  For his invitation I combined two different backgrounds with his (very funny looking) picture.  His pose was perfect for giving a "scary" look to a spooky halloween party.  He did great and the party was fun!

This invitation was for my niece - she was a freshman in high school at the time so having a birthday party wasn't topping her list of what-to-do.  Since she wanted just a few friends over for some food, fun, & music (which sounds like a birthday party, lol), I made some simple invitations with her nickname, inspired by her love to marry Chris Brown some day, with a music record playing...very cute ;)

These babyshower invitations are the cutes I've made so far. The glitter, the purple, the ribbon, the glittered flowers made creating the invitations fun :)
