I'm so excited!! I came across the knock-off of iron on vinyl used with freezer paper tutorial and whooooohooooooo, I struck gold! From the pictures shown below its obvious that I need alot of learning still, but it's so cool :) I went thru a box of old clothes I was fixing to get rid off and found a few shirts that were a blank canvas to test out my new learned skill. I used the cricut machine and cut out some basic shapes, ironed it on the shirt and painted it using some fabric paint I had laying around my craft area. (I was too eager to try it out or else I would have taken the time to get some 'prettier' paint). It was super simple to do, so that's a good thing. I haven't yet washed or dried, but from the tutorial she said it should wash fine :/. We'll see. Oh! And I added some glitter while the paint was still wet - that I'm not counting on to last thru the wash. Here are some pics...[they were taken with my camera phone cause I can't find my XD card, so excuse the quality]
Here it is on the ironing board, after painted...
So its a little off... :)
A dash of glitter...
And tadaaaaa...here it is...a little small for her, lol, but it's the show
Here is the next one I worked on...
This makes me laugh...it's totally off centered!!
So ending comments...I think the shirt totally matters! These didn't work out so great because of the scrunched up part in the front. But you get the idea!
I'm with the silhouette machine offers many more designs and such, but I think the freezer paper worked out great!
P.S. I love freezer paper!!

THAT'S SOOOO CUTE! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThat is so clever!!! This looks so good! I'm going to try it.
